Battersea Church Road Housing | London | UK

This project was part of the Group Term Project – Design Research Studio for the M.Sc-M. Arch Sustainable Environmental Design program, 2021-2022. The site is located on Battersea Church road in Battersea.Battersea is a large district of south London, England, in the London Borough of Wandsworth as depicted in Figure 2. It is centred 3.5 miles (5.6 km) southwest of Charing Cross and extends along the south bank of the River Thames. It includes the 200-acre (0.81 km2) Battersea Park. St. James Weather Station and Observatory Weather Station are the two weather stations that are in close proximity to the site. St. James’ Weather Station being closer, has been selected for extracting the weather data. Wandsworth Council has committed to deliver 1,000 new homes on its land over the next 5-7 years, across the Borough with the purpose of meeting local housing needs and demands.
